Title: Inviting Silence
How to find inner stillness and calm
Author: Gunilla Norris
ISBN: 184413575-6
Price: £ 6.99 or less at Play.com
Most of us who have some interest in the spiritual aspects of life have read many books–probably too many books!
Rarely in a lifetime do you encounter a gem, this book with a deceptively simple style in which everything non-essential has been pared away reads like poetry and yet it is profound.
It will inspire you to re-engage with meditation if you have tried it and failed or to begin if you have never attempted it.
Concepts and insights like this can only be gathered by someone who has spent a great deal of time in silent contemplation.
Hard won truths achieved through consistent practice shine out in every page.
A book you will want to share with others–a thing of beauty.

Title - Brida
Author - Paulo Coelho
ISBN - 978-0-00-727445-1
Price - £7.99
This book takes you on a journey with Brida who is on a quest to discover who her soulmate is but ends up on a journey of self discovery. We are all born with a “gift” and it is up to us to uncover what that “gift” is. Will she uncover her gift through the tradition of the moon and the dark night of the soul? Or should she seek her gift through the tradition of the sun and the ancestral knowledge it will bring? You’ll have to read it to find out!
With nature, spirituality, love, ritual, witches, past lives, passion and loads more, this book makes compelling reading. Once I got in to its flow I romped through it in a couple of days and would happily read it again. Paulo Coelho continues to show us how and why he is the master at weaving that sense of connection and spirituality through his stories.

Title: Grow Your Own Drugs - Easy recipes for natural remedies and beauty fixes
Author: James Wong
ISBN: 978-0-00-730713-5
Price: £16.99 or much, much less on Amazon
James’ passion for mother earth and the natural remedies she provides is evident in this fabulous book.
What sets this book aside from other natural remedy manuals is that James has brought age old recipes and techniques into the present and given them his own, highly energised, spin.
The recipes are easy to follow and most ingredients can be found in your own back garden or in local fields/woodland – in fact, James has included a plant guide to help you find what you need and understand how you can grow them yourself.
I highly recommend the restorative nettle soup as a very easy recipe that will be of benefit whether you feel you need it or not! (I now have bags of nettles in my freezer to tide us over!!)
A book to aid in the nurturing of your tummy, as well as the rest of your mind, body and spirit!
